Platja de la Renegá

40 min from the house, a beach perfect for snorkling. Also a simple but typical Spanish beach restaurant (La Regena Carpe Diem). The closest sandy beach is Playa de la Concha (Oropesa Del Mar).

Chorro del Villar

Perfect for a hot summer day, a natural waterfall! A local secret! Cooling down in one of the many natural pools. There is a small but heavy hike to the waterfall. Click here for directions.

Hot Springs
Montanejos

On a 1,5 hour beautifull drive from the house you find the hot springs of the village "Montanejos". Advise: during summer season only visit during weekdays (weekends are too busy) and a cool box is forbidden to bring with you. Click here for directions

Useras
(Les Useres)

The nearest authentic medieval village. There is a great bakery (located in the "Camí Real", it's called "Valls Monferrer") it opens at 06:00 also for a coffee and breakfast inside. Also highly recommended is restaurant Cal mistero at the entrance of the village. For a nice walk you can visit the natural water wells at the lowest part of the village, it's a nice walk along the vegetable gardens of the villagers. The central square on the upper part of the village has 2 bars.

Bodega Flors

Authentic small winery where you can do wine tasting (15 euro per person). Just 5 minutes from the SpronkenHouse. Vicente (the owner) is súper passionate about his 80 year old grape vines. His wines are truly amazing and he will explain the whole process. The wine tasting also includes small bites. +34 671 61 88 51

Peñíscola

A 14th century castle on this famous peninsula, Surprizingly beautiful village (dating back to the times of the Phoenicians) (55 min. from the House)

Golf

30 minutes from the house, Club de campo del Mediterráneo.

Horseriding

Truffel search

Alma (also English speaking) can take you into the mountains and show you how to find truffles with her dog, a whole day experience absolutely worth it! (truffle season starts end of November until mid March). +34 642 330 901 (100 euro).

Penyagolosa

An amazing hike, 1813 meters above sea level, it is a one hour drive from the house, the hike is also one hour to the summit (plus one more hour to get back down). To get there you will pass through Chodos/Xodos, a beautiful medieval village! After Xodos is it a very rocky/bumpy road, if you prefer a safe asphalt road then drive through Vistabella del Maestrazgo.

Hiking arround

Start hiking from the house! Walk to the end of the driveway and turn right, go and discover! You can also just dwell between all the Olive and Almond trees around the house!

Beautiful
curved roads

All around the house are these breathtaking curved roads, a real gem for motor or bike -riders! Our favorite is the road is from Atzeneta del Maestrat, direction to Vistabella and turn to Benafigos and then from Benafigos directly back to Atzeneta del Maestrat. Villafamés

15 minutes from the house. A beautiful medieval mountain village. Hike to the top to see the ruins that dominate the entire valley. "Rafaelgalindo" for breakfast and the tapas bar "La Tasqueta" for tapas and drinks!

Moto-Cross

15 minutes from the house is the famous race track "Red Sand", another track is on a 30 minutes drive (near the down "Alcora"). Enduro rinding is already possible starting from the house! You will find the most amazing trails.

Bike rental

It is possible to rent electric bicycles to cycle comfortably through the rugged mountainous environment. The bicycles can be delivered to the house.
